Wow, this was a challenge! Jeff hit me with a +fav on something a few weeks ago, which prompted me to check out his very impressive gallery. I told him if he ever fancied seeing my colours on something of his, I'd be more than happy to oblige. I had my eye on a couple of other simpler pieces, but he suggested this one ... and I'm ultimately glad he did. So much fun to colour! There are so many different, well-established light-sources in this image, but without too many heavily-rendered shadows, so I was free to play with some really solidly defined dynamic lighting. It took me a while to figure out what I was doing with it, but once I got going, it all just flowed so easily. I think I've also managed to use this to refine my working process a bit too - I kinda did the toning on this backwards to how I normally do things (gradients & effects, then rimlights, then toning), and I think it's worked out fairly well. Actually, if I'm being honest, I'm really quite proud of my colouring on this. Hope you guys like it too.

I definitely suggest full-view/download on this one, but it's probably wider than most screens. Totally worth it tho (I think).

I actually have a commission sale on right now [link] but you'll have to be quick to catch it - the sale only runs til the end of the month, and you'll have to get the lines in before then to qualify for the sale. Whether you get in on time or not, the actual price will depend on what you want me to colour. Give me an idea, and I'll give you a ballpark.
