I've been working fairly steadily on the new Rose Black book from Rough Cut Comics [link] so this is kinda the first time in a good while I've had the chance to do some colouring purely for my own pleasure. But when I saw this piece pop up as a DD a couple of weeks ago, knowing I had a lull in the Rose pages, I grabbed the image and set it aside. I still had to fit it in around other things, but I got something I'm fairly happy with, without overworking the piece (which I often do)
All well deserved praise for the original artwork [link] goes to 2ngaw [link] Just the colours by me, with the able assistance of CS3 & Intuous 2 [EDIT] - oops, missed something! Fixed now tho. [RE-EDIT] - and I forgot to credit the paper texture, kindly appropriated from [link] |
