That's right folks, I ain't dead! I've been a busy little bee this past while and I will get around to making some proper updates sometime soon to let you all you lovely chaps & chapettes in on what I've been up to, but for the moment I just need to get a wee plug in for a project I'm sorta involved with. I'm only colouring a few pages in the book, but I'm doing the lettering for the whole thing too - my first time taking on that task, and for a 100 page book to boot! What have I let myself in for!?!
Anyway, the Kickstarter is up and running now, so we need us some backers. And as an incentive, there's a pretty tempting wee contest just for the backers, so you should go check it out and get in on it!
Go on, you know you want to. ^_^

Get it while it's going ...
Okay, so I haven't exactly had much to say around here lately. I'm still keeping at it, still colouring away, but my tolerance for the ol' self-promotion thing has ebbed pretty low. Blame facebook - my wee experiment over there not only failed to pan out in terms of work, but made me dislike the site even more than I ever did before - even though I've managed to avoid most of the toxic shit that we all know happens on there - and kinda sickened me even more of talking myself up. Guess I'm just not a social marketing kinda guy.
Anyway, enough of all that - I'm really here for one quick message. I just landed a kinda big new gig, which means I
Buying in or selling out?
Okay, I've gone and done it. I've resisted the - for me - absolute absence of temptation to sign up for facebook pretty much since it first went public - let's just say MySpace was still very much the place to be when I got my first FB invite. Damn, I'm old! Anyway, I hear FB is the place for getting colouring work these days - been hearing that for years - so I figure it's about time I dipped my toe in the pond.
So anyone who's asked me to add them on FB before, or wants to give me some pointers on how to get plugged into comic work stuff on there, ya know what to do!
Don't make me regret this! ;p

Oh, and of course, still available f
Challenge me
Okay, I'm just about to head out to see a friend's new home (and probably get a wee bit wasted to christen the the place), but I'm gonna post another couple pieces before I go, and I thought I'd issue a wee challenge to my watchers. Or maybe it's just a request - take it as you will.
Us colourists always have a stash of nice-looking linework we fancy having a bash at for fun, but actually deciding which one to tackle next can be a pain in the ass. So I thought I'd outsource that part. I'd like some suggestions of stuff for me to colour in my downtime. It can be your own lines or someone else's, maybe something you've coloured yourself and wo
Phiddly Photoshop
Not much to chat about at the moment - just getting on with a couple of gigs, trying to figure out what to get my nephews & neice for crimbo (ach, we all know it'll be Lego), and generally pissing about as usual.
But I was kinda wondering - has anyone else been feeling like Photoshop CC has got a wee bit quirky since the last coupla updates? It's nothing major really - the new brush management system is taking a bit of getting used to, and I feel like the lasso tool has just got sorta moody on me - but I'm pretty sure I find myself swearing at my screen a bit more frequently lately. Probably just need to upgrade my system, I guess.
That
